OxygenOS 2.2.1 OTA Update for OnePlus X is Now Available which includes many bug fixes with optimizations and latest Safety patches. Based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, OxygenOS 2.2.1 will fix data leak while roaming, microphone mute difficulty on Google Hangouts, Google search bar and app drawer issue, and few other issues.

Regarding the Android 6.0 Marshmallow (OxygenOS 3.0) update, still it is unclear when the device gets Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. However, recent developments shows that you do not need to wait too long to get the OxygenOS 3.0 update on your OnePlus X

To update manually, download OxygenOS 2.2.1 OTA Zip file [HERE]/ [HERE] [Source] and save it on your phone’s internal memory.
